With the theme of "Create a Better Life," Auto Shanghai 2019 will be held at National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from April 18th to April 25th. Auto Shanghai 2019 will showcase the latest developing trends and results of Auto industry, analyzing the future and bring chances & confidence to the global auto market.
Auto Shanghai 2019 is organized by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Shanghai Sub-Council, and China Council for the Promotion of International trade, Automotive Sub-Council, co-organized by Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd. and MMG-Messe München International/IMAG as the European Co-organizer. China Machinery Industry Federation is the special supporter of the exhibition while the Society of Automotive Engineers of China is the supporter.
According to the exhibition schedule, April 16 to April 17 are press days which are only open for media from domestic and overseas; April 18 to April 19 are professional days and April 20 to April 25 are public days.
Auto Shanghai 2019 has attracted the active participation of more than 1,000 famous domestic and international exhibitors from 20 countries and regions. With a general scope of over 360,000sqm, the exhibition will occupy all the 12 indoor halls of NECC (Shanghai). Among them, 9 halls are for passenger vehicles (1H, 2H, 4.1H, 5.1H, 6.1H, 7.1H, 7.2H, 8.1H, 8.2H); 1 hall is for commercial vehicles and future mobility (3H); 2 halls are for auto parts manufacturers (5.2H, 6.2H). Except the above, functional and service area such as catering area, resting area, clinic etc. can also be found in the exhibition center.

The six largest domestic auto groups - SAIC Group, FAW, Dongfeng Motor, Changan Automobile, BAIC Motor and GAC Group will all display their group image with full range of brands and huge exhibition scale. Chery group, Geely group, Great Wall (Haval, WEY, Great Wall Pick Up), Brilliance-Zhonghua, BYD, JAC, Qoros, ZOTYE, SOUEAST, HANTENG AUTOS, Dongfeng Venucia, Changan Auchan, Chery JETURO, HAIMA AUTO, LEOPAARD, LANDWIND, DORCEN will participate in Auto Shanghai 2019 with great passion. New luxury brands including LYNK&CO, FAW Hongqi and EXEED will also come to Auto Shanghai 2019.
Luxury brands including Alfa Romeo, Bentley, Porsche, Lamborghini，Maserati, Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, McLaren and Lotus will all actively participate at the exhibition. It is worth mentioning that new energy brands such as GAC NE, WM-Motor, XPENG, HOZON (NETA), ENOVATE, AIWAYS, Lixiang, Leapmotor, ICONIQ, BORDRIN MOTORS, ARCFOX, GEOMETRY, ZEDRIV, SERES (SF Motors), GYON, KARMA, G-tech, Grove, QYEV will make the first appearance at Auto Shanghai 2019. Auto Parts: About half of the world top 100 auto parts manufacturers will come to Auto Shanghai 2019. Exhibition area of auto parts is over 35,000 sqm. Amazing On-site Events
In order to further enrich the on-site activities during the exhibition, the Organizer has arranged series of key events for creating a platform of exchange and cooperation.
1. Press Days
From April 16 to April 17, auto-maker and auto parts exhibitors will hold 136 press conferences at their booths and meeting rooms, declaring the grand opening of Auto Shanghai 2019. Rounds of new car release will attract Chinese and foreign journalists to vie with each other for the report, which will once again draw the attention of worldwide to Shanghai.
2. Match-making Events and Technical Forums
During the exhibition period, the Organizer will launch series of match-making events and technical forums at Hall 4.2, including workshops, special procurement and trade fairs etc., theme of which covers future automotive technology, automatic driving technology, 5G application, automatic intelligent manufacturing, processing new materials, new technology and industrial investment & financing.
Great Attention on Safe and Civilized Participation, Science-oriented Service
To ensure a safe, civilized, environmentally friendly, enjoyable and rewarding event, Shanghai Municipal Government and relative departments have attached high importance and made great support to the organization of Auto Shanghai 2019. The Organizer has taken active measures to react and prepared various emergency plans against the challenge of surrounding traffic, accommodation and catering demands.
Inheriting the idea of “Keep creating, people-oriented service”, Auto Shanghai 2019 will keep pursuing a detailed, caring, effective and perfect service. In order to relieve traffic jam in the surrounding area of the exhibition center, the Organizer would suggest visitors to choose public transportation as means of arrival; avoid visiting the exhibition during weekends or rush hours. For self-travel visitors, the Organizer will install special signs along the key highways and roads, meanwhile guarantee that around 14,000 parking lots from inside or outside the exhibition venue will be open to the public. Free shuttle bus will be arranged for the appointed parking lots which is far away from the exhibition center; For solving the traffic problem during the rush hour after the closure, the Organizer will arrange shuttle buses to deliver visitors from the exhibition center to the corresponding metro stations of Line 2, Line 9, Line 10, Line 13 and the bus station of No. 71. Taxi will be coordinated to the appointed area for picking up the visitors and there will be temporary ticket office and S shape queuing area at the metro entrance for evacuating the visitor flow.
At the entrance of several popular halls, the Organizer will set up queuing place to maintain the order. The Organizer will release a set of guidelines for proper behavior and decorum at the event, the encourages media to focus on positive news to ensure the cooperation of exhibitors and visitors alike and avoid uncivilized behaviors.
In addition, there are information desks, rest areas for special crowd, medical stations, ambulances at the visitors’ service.
Media Registration and Press Center:
The Organizer has opened the pre-registration system for the media on the official website. Qualified journalists will receive an email informing them of their media credentials. From April 14 to April 17, journalists (Chinese and foreign) can check in and pick up their media passes at on-site media counters set up by the Organizer on the North Square of NECC (Shanghai)(See details on the official website). The press center will be open to the media from April 16 to April 23 at Room E in Hall 4.3 for providing an excellent working environment as well as technical support for live onsite reporting.
E-tickets
Auto Shanghai 2019 will use the e-tickets for the first time. Visitors can purchase the e-tickets via Auto Shanghai 2019 official WeChat mini program, the phone number as your account will be the only identification. Children under 1.3 meters can enter for free. (Children under 1.3 meters but must be accompanied with adults. The guardian should sign the safety responsibility agreement.)
